The town of Uchipas, which surrounds a rock citadel. I think I saw this town in Star Trek.

Pretty Cappadocious for surreal

View from a rock cut church. These folks was Christian, and carved and lived in these rocks to either survive invasion or escape persecution, depending on which millennia you're talking about.

Check out the foot-stairs carved into the rock

Holy in the rock

A Cappadocian mansion

Cappadocian countryside, where they grow melons and grapes in the craggy, volcanic soil.

Inspired paintings of the life story of a man named Jesus in a Byzantine era rock church.

I was hiking, and happened upon this hole. Looking down, it was a cave full of water, and it was big, my voice carried and echoed for a few seconds. It was above the general ground level, and this place is dry. There were stairs carved into the rock going down. Just peculiar, that's all I'm saying.

If you look closely, you can see the cast of the Smurfs getting their make-up on.

The balloons, the balloons!
