This here's called menemen, and it tastes about as good as it looks. Eggs, onion, tomatoes, paprika, and other spices and thangs. Generally for breakfast.

This was eggplant, potatoes, sweet peppers, carrots, served with buttery noodles in a tomato sauce.

In the morning, some lunch type restaurants will just serve this kind of lentil soup. Good way to start.

This was great, green beans drenched in some spicy sauce with pilav, served with fresh tomatoes and hot peppers.

An 80's kofte cart. I'm tired of the meat dishes here, but these guys serve really cheap meat sandwiches for folks on the go. This guy's at an Iftar get-together outside a mosque.

Damn good okra with tomatoes and fresh, spicy greens. You see bread in all the pictures cause every meal you order comes with a basket of bread. You see that in expensive restaurants in the states, but not with cheap meals like all these. 2.5 to 6 Liras ($1.50-$4).

Turkish coffee, strong and good. I had to put the cake directly on the old-ass table for effect.
